Located in Port St. Lucie, the St. Lucie Mets serve as the Class-A Advanced affiliate for the New York Mets. The Mets began their affiliation with Port St. Lucie prior to the 1988 season after taking over as the parent organization for the team that had been known as the Daytona Beach Admirals. The relationship with the Mets paid immediate dividends for the Minor League team, as they won a Florida State League Championship in their inaugural season under the Mets' umbrella. In fact, the St. Lucie Mets made the postseason in each of their first six seasons as an affiliate of the Mets including a second Championship Series appearance in 1993. After a brief two year absence from the playoffs, the St. Lucie Mets would go on to not only make the playoffs in six of the next 11 seasons, but they won four more Florida State League titles over that time. The St. Lucie Mets just missed the postseason for the third consecutive season and are looking to rebound in 2020. Get your tickets today to see the St. Lucie Mets at StubHub!

Jupiter Hammerheads.

Miami Marlins.

Since the affiliation between the St. Lucie Mets and their New York-based parent organization goes back over 30 years, most of the Mets homegrown talent has passed through St. Lucie on their way to the Big Apple. Players such as Noah Syndergaard, Zack Wheeler, Steven Matz, Amed Rosario and Michael Conforto are all listed as St. Lucie Mets alumni. Also, St. Lucie games became even more crowded when former NFL quarterback, Tim Tebow played for the team while trying to work his way through the Mets' farm system.
Rich Donnelly has been named as the 18th manager in the history of the St. Lucie Mets. The 73-year-old Donelly replaces former St. Lucie manager, Chad Kreuter who was promoted to the Mets' Triple-A Syracuse squad. The 2020 season will be Donnelly's sixth season with the Mets' organization. Last season he led the Rookie League Kingsport squad to a 34-34 record and had previously served as manager of the Brooklyn Cyclones for three seasons. Coach Donnelly brings 29 seasons of Major League coaching experience, including 14 consecutive years as an assistant coach with manager Jim Leyland where he was a part of the 2007 Florida Marlins World Series Championship team. This will be Donnelly's 15th season as a Minor League manager and he has posted a career record of 868-787.
